I’m active in community theater, and I dash off to play dress-up whenever I can!
On Saturday, Rough Magic, the troupe I’m in, had a show at Ravenwood Castle, a charming bed and breakfast in the Hocking Hills of southeastern Ohio. Check out the castle’s website, and you’ll see that it’s actually a real castle! I’m not going to lie; it’s a pretty fantastic setting, and someday I’m going to have to do a shoot there!
The brave woman is Tiffany, a talented dancer and fire-eater extraordinaire. She entertained outside the castle by “eating” fire and later inside with a weighted veil dance. I wasn’t able to get any shots of her inside performance because I was in the show…darn it!
The castle is, of course, decked out in grand holiday fashion! Evergreen boughs, ribbon and twinkling lights don’t feel the slightest bit out of place within the stone walls of the great hall. I wasn’t able to get many photos, but I did get this guy:
He guards the front door opposite a charmingly rusty suit of armor. Enchanting!
